The defense took place in the Meeting Room of the Department of Informatics (DI), in Building 7, on the Gualtar campus, University of Minho.<\/p>\n<p>The dissertation, <strong>supervised by Professor Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ferreira Machado and supervised by me<\/strong>, focused on the analysis and extraction of knowledge from large volumes of urban mobility data, a topic of great relevance for the development of smart cities and the optimization of urban transport infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h4>Composition of the Jury:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>President of the Jury<\/strong>: Jos\u00e9 Francisco Creissac Freitas Campos, Associate Professor with Tenure, Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering, University of Minho.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Member (Arguente)<\/strong>: Lu\u00eds Miguel Pacheco Mendes Gomes, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of the Azores.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Member (Advisor)<\/strong>: Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ferreira Machado, Associate Professor with Habilitation, Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering, University of Minho.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The work carried out by Jos\u00e9 Pedro proposed innovative methodologies to extract mobility patterns and trends, with the aim of contributing to urban planning and the improvement of transport systems.
